Deena Miller, an Occupational Therapist, loves helping kids overcome challenges and reach their full potential. With a Bachelor's in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge, and a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, she's always eager to learn and grow in her field.
Deena’s passion for kids goes beyond her career. As a mom to a prematurely born son, she’s used her skills at home to help him with things like gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and feeding. This personal journey has given her insights that go beyond traditional education, fueling her dedication as a feeding therapist and helping her connect deeply with families to offer compassionate and effective support.
Her focus on holistic care grew after she faced her own sleep and breathing issues. Diagnosed with Sleep Apnea at 28 after years of orthodontic work and open mouth breathing, she wanted more than just a CPAP machine. Her journey into myofunctional therapy started not only for her own sake but also to help her son with his oral tissue challenges. Through this, Deena discovered how myofunctional therapy could change lives, adding to her professional skills and allowing her to offer more complete and understanding care to her patients.
Today, Deena combines her professional knowledge and personal experiences to support kids and their families. Her blend of expertise and heartfelt personal experience makes her a strong advocate for the children she works with, ensuring they have the chance to thrive.
